Classic cheese ball recipe

 Recipe for a classic cheese ball


Ingredients:

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened.

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions or chives.

1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper.

1/4 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional toppings: additional chopped nuts, chopped fresh herbs, or crumbled bacon

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions or chives, red bell pepper, nuts (if using), Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands.

If desired, roll the cheese ball in additional chopped nuts, fresh herbs, or crumbled bacon to coat the outside.

Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or until firm.

Serve the cheese ball chilled with your choice of crackers, breadsticks, or vegetable sticks.

You can also get creative with your cheese ball by adding other ingredients like diced jalapenos, dried herbs, or even dried cranberries for a sweet and savory twist. Enjoy your delicious cheese ball as a party appetizer or a tasty snack!
