Fruit Custard

Fruit custard is a delicious dessert made by combining fresh fruits with a creamy custard base. It typically consists of a mixture of chopped or sliced fruits, such as bananas, apples, grapes, strawberries, or any other fruits of your choice, mixed with a sweet custard sauce.

To make fruit custard, you can follow these general steps:

Prepare the custard:

In a saucepan, heat milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, custard powder (a cornstarch-based powder used for making custard), and a little milk to form a smooth paste. Gradually pour the paste into the simmering milk, stirring continuously. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Prepare the fruits:

Wash, peel, and chop the fruits into bite-sized pieces. You can use a variety of fruits or choose your favorites.

Combine the fruits and custard:

Once the custard has cooled, add the chopped fruits to it and gently mix until the fruits are well coated with the custard sauce.

Chill and serve:

Transfer the fruit custard to a serving bowl or individual dessert cups. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours or until chilled. Serve cold as a refreshing dessert.

You can also garnish the fruit custard with some chopped nuts, grated chocolate, or a drizzle of honey for added flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy!
