Hamburger Recipe

 Recipe for homemade hamburgers

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion.

1 clove garlic, minced.

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Hamburger buns

Optional toppings:

lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles, etc.

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until all the ingredients are evenly combined. Do not overmix, as it can make the burgers tough.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb (this helps the burgers cook evenly and prevent them from puffing up in the middle).

Preheat a grill, stovetop grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill or grill pan, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Place the hamburger patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for a well-done burger.

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the burger patties from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.

Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the toasted buns. Add your preferred toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles, etc.

Serve the hamburgers immediately and enjoy!

Feel free to customize the toppings and condiments based on your preferences. These homemade hamburgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a delicious meal. Pair them with your favorite side dishes like fries, coleslaw, or a salad for a complete meal.
